Blankets4Kids

December 28, 2023

Helping Hands wanted to give back to the NYP hospital community after our successful Amazon fire tablet donation. They raised over $1000 to purchase blankets for transplant patients at Morgan Stanley. Our team thought it was a good idea to raise money to provide the kids with something cozy and warm. Our founder has personally spoke to child life specialists and realized that not every child has a warm blanket in their hospital room. We hope that these fun blankets will bring joy to the patients during this holiday season. Vivian and Selina took a trip to Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital and met up with Maryanne, from Child Life, to deliver over 50 blankets. We can’t wait to come back and donate more!

NYP Hospital

October 17, 2023

During the month of October, the Helping Hands team had the privilege to donate over 100 Amazon Fire 7 tablets to New York Presbyterian’s Morgan Stanley Children’s hospital. We teamed up with Childlife to find the perfect donation that we know the patients would love and appreciate. The tablets that were donated to the hospital have now been used to listen to music, read books, watch movies, and so much more. We hope that these tablets will bring more pleasure to the kids who are fighting the fight of their lives!

Sunset Park victims

August 27, 2023

Helping Hands heard about the devastating story of a sunset park family here in Brooklyn. The Zhao and Liu family were brutally attacked with a hammer and left the mother killed and two children seriously injured. Sophia and David (children) are in critical condition. With hearing this news, helping hands wanted to donate everything they could through their go fund me page. Please click the link or share below to help!

Clothing Donation: Summer 2022

July 25, 2022

Our Helping Hand’s team donated over 9 bags of clothing this summer that was collected from a local laundromat. Our donation will assist many families at Hospitality House a homeless shelter run by Project Hospitality. Project Hospitality is located by the Staten Island Ferry Terminal and has provided shelter to many families in need throughout the community for over 30 years. After multiple visits to Project Hospitality, our Helping Hands team were grateful to see how much of an impact our donations have made. We were appreciative to hear kind words from the staff and those who lived there. There gratitude and smiles really inspired our team and encouraged us to come back each time knowing our donations are being used for good. Our Helping Hand’s team are excited to come back next time and hopefully to bring more smiles to the residents there. If you want to join us on our next project contact us! Remember to help the world one hand at a time!

Clothing Drive

April 26 2022

Our team spent the afternoon donating over 200 lbs of clothing to a local homeless shelter “Project Hospitality: Family shelter” in Staten Island New York. The abundance of clothing were abandoned pieces left at a local laundromat. Instead of contributing to waste, we recognized that many underprivileged families would put the resources into great use. Contact us if you would like to donate clothes or be a part of our next project!
